Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. ~ Romans 12:12
God is everywhere…so pray anywhere! Everybody is called to pray. Please pray for the following! The UNREACHED in Ethiopia, Djibouti, Eritrea, Somalia, Kenya, and South Sudan Pray for the most important leaders of these countries – that the Holy Spirit will take away their spiritual blindness (2 Cor. 4:4). Pray for supernatural/extraordinary manifestations of God through dreams, healing, revelations and visions, etc. among the unreached of these countries (Acts 2:19; 4:30; Heb. 2:4). Pray that the Spirit of God will raise people from these countries to build a strong church among their own people. Pray that God’s Name be glorified and honored wherever the Truth is suppressed or denied. Pray that God’s Kingdom come and rule and His will become effective where it is defied and where it is opposed by His enemies! (Matthew 6:9-10) The CHURCH of the UNREACHED and all over the World It is the task of the church of Jesus Christ to take the Gospel of Salvation to the nations of the World. Pray that the Church of Christ will take the Commission in Matthew 28:18-20 literally. Pray for the church to gain a new vision for mission work. Pray for the Church to persevere despite persecution. Pray for unity among the small groups and against false doctrines that often come and destroy the young congregations. Pray for outpouring of the Holy Spirit on them (Acts 4:31). For the SALVATION of the people from the UNREACHED Pray that whole families will become converted – it makes it easier for the converts to remain standing. Pray that the Holy Spirit will work in their hearts in a divine way and urge them to search for the True God in Jesus Christ. Pray especially for the redemption of individuals who are leaders or who are in positions of authority in these countries. Pray that these people will openly confess their sins and their faith in Christ and that they will also follow Him openly. If my people who are called by name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. – II Chronicles 7:14 Central African Republic: where government writ only runs in the capital October 24, 2017 — I’m just back from a visit to the Central African Republic (CAR) – where there is a sense of emergency again. Security has dramatically deteriorated across the country: President Faustin-Archange Touadéra has failed to establish his authority beyond the capital, Bangui, 18 months after his election. To my surprise, I saw gunmen at a crossroads, in broad daylight, in a neighborhood near the international airport. Egyptian police foil latest terrorist attack on Coptic church in Sinai October 24, 2017 -- An attack on a Coptic church in north-eastern Egypt, which was also targeted during the wave of anti-Christian violence in August 2013, has been repelled by state security forces stationed outside the building. The heavy security presence outside the Mar Girgis (St. George) church in El-Arish, which had the use of an armored vehicle, helped blow up the attackers’ car. The church building was not damaged. Government again pressures Sudanese Church of Christ leaders Published October 23, 2017 —Leaders of the Sudanese Church of Christ (SCOC) have been detained for some hours in the capital, Khartoum, during which they were ordered to hand over ownership of their church to government officials, by transferring authority from an elected committee to a state-sanctioned rival committee. The five men, who, according to a World Watch Monitor source, included the SCOC President, were arrested as they left a church service. Algeria: ‘unjust law’ still denying churches their ‘right to worship’ October 19, 2017 — Churches in northern Algeria continue to clash with the authorities over permission to hold services in non-religious buildings. Authorities in Tizi Ouzou province – 100km east of the capital, Algiers – have said a 2006 law that regulates non-Muslim worship is breached by churches meeting in houses meant only for accommodation or commercial purposes. Nigeria’s Christians condemn killings in Plateau, urge government to intervene October 18, 2017 -- Worried by the recent incessant killings in Plateau state, north-central Nigeria, the Christians in the north under the aegis of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) have urged the government to intervene… people who had lived together peacefully in the Irigwe chiefdom had taken up arms against one another, leading to the killing of innocent people. Special Prayer Request!! • Pray for the W&P team that is doing God’s work in Ethiopia. • Pray for the underground church and pastors in East Africa. Pray for a revival! • Pray that God’s Name is glorified, His Kingdom established & the world reconciled to Himself. Pray that the faith of the persecuted will strengthen and they endure.
