Prayer Wall 6/1/16

“Thus says the Lord who made the earth, the Lord who formed it to establish it, the Lord is His name, ‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’” ~ Jeremiah 33:2-3
“If I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people, If my people who are called by name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” – 2 Chronicles 7:13-14

COMMUNITIES OF THE PERMIAN BASIN
Let us PRAY for peace, comfort, wisdom and patience for the families and businesses that have been affected by the economic downturn due to low oil prices. “They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord.” ~ Psalm 112:7
AWAKENING
Give thanks for all the Lord is AWAKENING IN YOU!! There is power in His blood and the name of Jesus Christ. May others experience the goodness of this truth and have an encounter with the Living God in this season! Pray for our local and global churches; for our pastors to stand firmly on the Word of God.
GOVERNMENTAL LEADERS
Pray for our leaders to stand firm on God’s Word. Give thanks we have leaders that are in the Palm of His Hand! Isaiah 41:13 May they call upon Him for wisdom.  May they give Him thanks for the peace and order that He brings.  Give thanks for God fearing men and women serving in these positions. 
PERSECUTED BELIEVERS
We lift up our brothers & sisters & those yet to come that they may know He is present in their midst and hears their prayers.  Let us pray that even in the midst of dire circumstances and even in the midst of severe threats and actions of death they will have the grace to STAND NO MATTER WHAT and not forsake Jesus Yeshua Isa – Son of the Living God.  Lift up where ISIS is controlling in places like Nigeria, Middle East and Algeria, etc.
ISRAEL
Lift up Israel and individuals within the country (Jews & Arabs alike). Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. May those who love you prosper, Psalm 122:6, Pray that Israelis will move forward with the leader that the Lord appoints. May there be peace.


Special Prayer Request!!
• Pray for divine protection over our nation during the electoral process. Pray for a leader who will ultimately allow us to “lead peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness” (1 Tim. 2:2). Scripture says “For lack of guidance a nation falls, but victory is won through many advisors” (Prov. 11:14). Remember the fallen soldiers on Memorial Day.
•  Let us be ever mindful of our brothers and sisters around the world who are discriminated against, slandered, unjustly accused, arrested, imprisoned, beaten, exiled or killed. They need us to stand with them in prayer as they suffer in your name. God of all comfort, for those who are tortured both in body and mind, give them the grace to endure their suffering. (Romans 15:5-6, 2 Thessalonians 1:4-5, 11-12).
•  Let’s pray for great awakening!... Not just here, but the entire world.    


Millions Prepare to Celebrate the 'Forefathers' of Christianity in Africa

The day commemorates the martyrdom of 45 Ugandan men who converted to Christianity between the years of 1885 and 1887... The story goes that the king of the country at that time was so outraged by their decision to convert that he ordered the mostly young men to be burnt to death.
Pakistani Police Arrest Christian Beaten, Accused of Blasphemy
Published May 28, 2016 — LAHORE, Pakistan (Morning Star News) – Police in Pakistan on Monday (May 23) jailed a Christian after Muslims upset that he tried to stop them from teasing girls beat him... Hospital staff refused to treat Usman Liaqat after the beating, saying he had to file a police report.
Muslim Mob Torches Christians' Homes in Egypt, Strip Elderly Woman Naked in Streets
Published May 27, 2016 — An Orthodox Coptic church south of Cairo has reported that seven Christian homes were torched and ransacked by an angry Muslim mob who also humiliated a Christian mother by stripping her naked…the Christian mother was dragged out of her home, was beaten, insulted, and stripped naked on the streets, with the Muslim crowd chanting Allahu Akbar, or "God is great."
Sudan Pastor Faces Death Penalty
Published May 26 2016 — A Christian human rights group is concerned that a Sudanese pastor could soon be facing the death penalty. In December of last year, the African country of Sudan began a crackdown of church leaders and pastors.
Christian persecution continues in China as government continues Church cross removals
May 25, 2016 – The Chinese government has been on a campaign to remove crosses from the spires of many churches in rural China. Only recently, laborers have used blowtorches to cut a 10-foot high cross off the 120-foot steeple of the Salvation Church.
