2 CHRONICLES 7:14 If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

WATCHING GOD
HEAVENLY FATHER, You are the source of all life and love. Thank You for Your love and grace that never fails us. Help us to see You for who You are and worship You for all You are!
• PSALM 59:9 You are my strength, I watch for You; You, GOD, are my fortress.
• MICAH 7:7 But as for me, I watch in hope for the LORD, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.
• HABAKKUK 2:1 I will stand at my watch and station myself on the ramparts; I will look to see what he will say to me, and what answer I am to give to this complaint.

WORLD WATCHING
BLESSED SAVIOR, LORD JESUS, help us to watch YOU work in the nations, our nation, and our local area, and thank You for ALL that You are doing around us. Help us to pay attention to what GOD is doing around us this week!
• HABAKKUK 5:5 Look at the nations and watch—and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.
• MATTHEW 24:42 Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.
• 1 PETER 4:7 The end of all things is near. Therefore, be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray.

ABBA, FATHER, GOD, help us to watch and pray WITH YOU and see the news and world events through Your eyes. Thank YOU for Your invitation to join You in watchful praying. Help us to see You more clearly, to know You more deeply, and to live a life that reflects Your glory. Teach us to see matters through Your perspective and pray as Your Spirit gives direction!

Increase in persecution as global Church grows
4/21/2025 – (Mission Network News) According to the 2024 World Watch List from Open Doors, more than 380 million Christians face very high persecution for their faith. With fast internet and phone connections, the Church can often share stories within minutes of persecution. However, there are harder-to-reach areas where information is scarce. Nettleton notes that many of these difficult-to-reach places include areas of Africa like Eritrea, Mozambique, and Burkina Faso or places in the Middle East like Afghanistan. Click here for more:

China formally bans foreign missionary activity
4/17/2025 – China (Mission Network News) The Chinese Communist Party is banning foreign missionary activity, effective May 1. According to International Christian Concern, the regulations “prohibit foreigners from preaching, sharing their faith, or establishing religious organizations without official government approval.” Click here:

9 Chinese Christians Receive Prison Sentences, Fines for Distributing Bibles
4/17/2025 – China (International Christian Concern) Nine Chinese Christians have received prison sentences and large fines for re-selling and distributing Bibles in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia. On April 10, the religious freedom magazine Bitter Winter reported that prison sentences of up to four years and fines ranging from 500 Yuan ($68) to 1 million Yuan (more than $136,000) have been handed down to these Christians. Two Years on, Sudan’s Civil War Continues to Devastate
4/17/2025 – Sudan (International Christian Concern) This week marked the second anniversary of the brutal civil war between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), a paramilitary force. While both parties have been accused of extreme atrocities against Sudan’s civilian population…the RSF has faced particular scrutiny for its brutal tactics against defenseless civilian communities. PRAYERS FOR THE PERSECUTED CHURCH

• Pray for Wosene HEALING and RECOVERY through rehabilitation and pray for Getaneh.
• Pray for their PROTECTION for those arrested and in prison.
• Pray for COMFORT for those who have lost their loved ones and are suffering alone.
• Pray for renewed FAITH for those who have been displaced and have lost their church buildings, homes, or businesses.
• Pray for COURAGE, PERSEVERANCE, and MERCY for those who are persecuted.
• Pray for our persecuted brothers and sisters who are under attack. That they would know the hope God gives (Ephesians 1:18) and that the Holy Spirit will strengthen them (Ephesians 3:16)
• It is the attitude of a heart sincerely seeking Him to which God responds with a blessing (Isaiah 58, Jeremiah 14:12, and 1 Corinthians 8:8)
